Constant Change was born in 1964 and named, Dawn Thomas. She grew up singing in the church and was influenced by black gospel music. She discovered her gift of songwriting at age sixteen, when she wrote her first song, Except for The Grace of God.

Along with gospel music, she studied classical piano. Some of her music is influenced by musicians like, James Taylor, Michael Mcdonald, Sade, Toto, Tony Bennett, Maurice White, Quincy Jones.
In the early 90's, she recorded an album for Elektra Records, produced by the late and legendary, Tommy Lipuma.
As a signed artist, she recorded her original adult/contemporary ballad, If I'm Not In Love, which was included on the movie soundtrack, Indecent Proposal. The movie was released in the early to mid 90s and starred Robert Redford and Demi Moore. That particular recorded version was the original demo, which cost under $500 dollars, and was produced by Scott Sheriff and myself.
